The building of Westminster Cathedral in Vincent Square, London, began in 1895 and is not yet finished. On the northern side a small piazza provides a view of the cathedral and the magnificent campanile that soars 274 feet high. Constructed from over twelve million terra-cotta bricks and decorated with garlands of Portland stone, it is one of the last monuments of the Victorian era. Although the interior is not finished, an impression of what it will eventually look like gained be gained by exploring the side chapels. The All Souls Chapel on the North side has a vivid colourful décor made up of over a hundred different types of marble from around the world.
